    Apartment fire on Bourbon Court ...
    4:21 p.m -- The Bardstown Fire Department and Nelson County EMS responding to 241 Bourbon Court for an apartment on fire. Caller said smoke and flames are visible from the apartment. Bourbon Court is located off Flamingo Drive behind Busy Bee minit mart on Louisville Road.

    4:24 p.m. -- Officer on scene reports to dispatchers the presence of very heavy smoke and flames coming from the apartment.

    4:25 p.m. -- Bystanders say an occupant is in the apartment that is on fire.

    4:30 p.m. -- Firefighters report they believe the occupants are out of the apartment. Incident commander on scene, reports active fire in a second-floor apartment and flames are through the roof of the building. The American Red Cross is being asked to respond to help with housing needs of victims.

    4:33 p.m. - An occupant is trapped in an adjacent apartment and will need to be rescued from the building from a second-floor window. Arriving firefighters are preparing to lay hoses to the nearest hydrant.

    4:38 p.m. - Nelson County Dispatch is setting off tones to request additional manpower to respond to 241 Bourbon Court. Firefighters are charging hydrants now.

    4:40 p.m. -- Firefighters on the first floor of the apartment building have been warned the roof appears ready to collapse. The Incident Commander tells interior crew who are doing a primary search he wants them out of there as quickly as possible.

    4:42 p.m. -- IC asks Nelson County Dispatch to request mutual aid from Northeast Nelson, specifically requesting firefighters who can wear air packs.

    5 p.m. -- Firefighters request the utility company respond to cut electricity off to the building.

    5:13 p.m. -- Firefighters report the fire is under control, extensive overhaul of the scene is going to be required. Crews are getting prepared to conduct a secondary search of the building.

    4:36 p.m. - The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to 108 Haverly Court for an alarm called in by the home owner, who says the alarm is sounding but there is no smoke in the residence.

    2:05 p.m. -- The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to 1060 Thompson Hill Road for a house on fire. Thompson Hill Road is off the Louisville Road end of KY 523 near Cox's Creek. Nelson County EMS is also responding.

    2:27 p.m. -- The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to 1660 Hibbs Lane for smoke in the residence and smoke detectors sounding.

    2:40 p.m. -- Firefighters are on scene and are checking the doubewide modular home.

    2:50 p.m. -- Problem appears to have been related to the operation of the home's furnance. The resident will get the unit checked by a serviceman.

    12:40 a.m. -- The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to the area of Ben Irvin Road past the lake toward Boston Road for a single vehicle accident rollover with unknown entrapment. There may be four patients.

    Possible cable heat fire on Barberry Lane ...
    10:50 p.m. -- The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to the 200 block of Barberry Lane for a possible fire. Resident says his home as cable heat and there is a brown area in the ceiling and they are smelling an odor.

    11:14 p.m. -- Firefighters find a small spot of fire in the insulation of the home's attic. They were extinguishing the fire.

    4:55 p.m. -- The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to 725 Beechwood for a garage on fire. Caller advised there is a propane tank inside the structure.

    5:03 p.m. -- Fire chief reports there is one garage on fire with threats to adjacent garage and a home. He has requested EMS and traffic control to shut down West Daugherty and West Forrest Avenues.

    1:13 pm -- Fire chief on scene reports the building is evacuated.

    1:20 pm -- Firefighter report that sprinkler line was hit by a high lift on the empty portion of the former Winn-Dixie building. The Syke's employees are returning to their building, there is no fire.

    1:40 pm - The Barstown Fire Department is responding to KY 480 about one-half a mile off US31E, the Louisville Road, for a report of the woods on fire. The report was phoned in by someone driving by the area.

    6:05 p.m. - The Bardstown Fire Department responded to the area of Spencer Mattingly Lane and KY 245 for an injury accident. Firefighters extinguished a fire and were called to help extricate a victim. A second EMS squad is responding to the scene.
